FAQs
What ancient scripts are supported?
The tool supports 5 ancient writing systems: Egyptian Hieroglyphs, Javanese Script (Hanacaraka), Phoenician, Runic (Elder Futhark), and Gothic Script.
How does the transliteration work?
The tool uses phonetic mapping - each Latin character is mapped to its closest equivalent in the target script. Note that some scripts (like Phoenician) only have consonants, so vowels are approximated.
Does it support my language?
The tool maps Latin letters (A-Z, a-z) to ancient script equivalents. It works with any Latin-alphabet text, including Indonesian, English, and other languages.
Can I export the result as an image?
Yes! In Canvas/Export view, click 'Export PNG' to download a styled parchment image with your text in the ancient script.
What is the reference table for?
The reference table shows all character mappings for the selected script, with the Latin letter, the script glyph, and the character name.
